Congratulations are in order for Rita Ora and Taika Waititi, who have reportedly tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony. According to a source close to the couple, the 31-year-old pop star and actor, and the 46-year-old filmmaker were married in a small, private wedding in London.
“It was a really intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there,” says the source. “Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are. Despite living in the spotlight, Rita is determined to keep the relationship as private as possible and didn’t want to make a big song and dance about the wedding,” they added. “A big, showbiz-style bash is planned to celebrate, but don’t expect to see it being flogged to the highest-bidding magazine.” Ora, who fronted Vogue Arabia’s February 2022 cover, was also photographed with the Thor: Love and Thunder director recently in matching wedding bands, which were spotted in an Instagram post shared by her sister, Elena Ora, too.
The couple has been in a public relationship since April 2021, when Ora took to Instagram to share a photo of them together, captioned, “Good times, memories, random things on my phone. And the ones I love.” They made their first public appearance as a couple at the Suicide Squad 2 premiere in Los Angeles, followed by the premiere of Marvel’s Eternals in October, and have walked multiple red carpets together since.
While this is Ora’s first marriage, Waititi had been married from 2011 to 2018 to producer Chelsea Wistanley, with whom he shares two, daughters Te Kāinga o te Hinekāhu, 10, and Matewa Kiritapu, 6.
