As the wedding of Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al-Saif gets closer, more details are being revealed about one of the most highly-awaited royal affairs of the year. Following the nuptials of Princess Iman to Jameel Thermiotis in March, the prince will wed on June 1 in what is sure to be a week full of festivities.
A new announcement from the Royal Hashemite Court states that HM Queen Rania will host a pre-wedding banquet for the couple on May 22. “The wedding ceremony of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein and Ms Rajwa Khalid Al Saif will be at Zahran Palace, then the wedding procession will move to Al Husseiniya Palace,” reads the statement released via the Arabian Royal Agency. “At Husseiniya Palace, a dinner banquet will be held and there will be a closed reception and banquet for the media.”

Eager eyes are sure to be set on this happy occasion as the wedding will not only mark a significant moment in history, but will also be a sartorial extravaganza. Given that Princess Iman wed in a custom Dior gown with a tiara reportedly owned by her grandmother, Princess Muna Al Hussein, royal watchers can expect Al-Saif to wear something equally remarkable, either from an Arab or international designer.

Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al-Saif announced their engagement in August 2022 after coming together for the ceremony at the bride-to-be’s home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. “I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa,” Queen Rania wrote at the time. The mother-of-four has since went on to share her love for the newest member of the family and her “third daughter” on multiple occasions via Instagram. Most recently, she wished her a happy birthday by posting a never-seen-before picture of the two together.
