Exclusive: Just minutes ago, Nada Kamani and Umar Kamani tied the knot in a picture-perfect ceremony that took place in the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France.

As one would expect, the couple’s western wedding ceremony had all the makings of a fairytale. A vision in white, Nada made her first appearance walking through a romantic avenue laced with white roses, which led from the hotel to a seaside gazebo surrounded by sparkling chandeliers, where Umar Kamani waited. As she made her way to the altar, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, a special guest of the couple, performed one of his most-loved songs, ‘The Prayer’, with a full orchestra. Along with loved ones and family from all over the globe, the couple’s special moment was also witnessed and celebrated by key guests including supermodel Naomi Campbell, American musician Christina Milian, Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut, Irish singer Ronan Keating, Red Sea Film Festival Foundation CEO Mohammed Al Turki, and royals from the Gulf, to name a few.
Now, just minutes after the couple have said their I do’s, Vogue Arabia shares an exclusive look at all the details of the bride’s dream wedding gown, and the journey behind it — from first sketches, to fittings, and finally, today’s wedding ceremony.

Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri Studio, Nada Kamani’s wedding gown was brought to life keeping a key factor in mind: the fact that she wanted something simple, sans embellishment. “I wanted the dress itself to be the detail. The neckline, the shape, the lines,” she explains. “I envisioned a gown that would stand the test of time, embodying a sense of grace and sophistication that would never go out of style. When I saw the Grace Kelly black dress neckline, I knew that that was what I wanted, and everything has fallen into place around it.”

After an initial discussion at Dior’s Haute Couture salons, and incorporating inputs from Kamani’s stylist Cary Robinson, the bride was presented with a series of sketches of what would become her wedding day look. The final selection included picking the perfect fabric — in Kamani’s case, peau de soie — as well as the finer details, from the neckline to the veil.

Impeccably crafted in Dior’s Flou Workshop, Nada Kamani’s Dior wedding gown stands out for its feminine sweetheart neckline (“I adore the neckline. I’ve never seen it done in a wedding dress before, so it feels unique to me,” she says), defined waistline, long train, and romantic silk tulle and lace veil. The keepsake was brought to life by three haute couture seamstresses and a pattern maker, under the watchful eye of first workshop head Beatrice. After four fittings, the verdict was out: Kamani was ready for her big day. “Putting on my Dior wedding dress for the first time felt absolutely amazing,” she tells Vogue Arabia. “For the first time I felt like a bride, and the whole experience began to seem real at last. It was a moment I’ll never forget.”
