Chris Evans and Alba Baptista’s Cape Cod Wedding: Everything You Need to Know

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista are married! The wedding took place at the acting power couple’s home on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on Saturday, September 9, per Page Six. Attendees were reportedly asked to sign NDAs and phones were “forfeited” prior to the ceremony. The guest list featured several of Evans’s co-stars from the Marvel universe, including Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, and Jeremy Renner.

Renner, Hemsworth, Pataky, and the Downeys were caught dining at the Newbury Boston hotel on Saturday. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt were seemingly on hand for the nuptials too. The happy couple was spotted “joking and smiling” upon their return from the ceremony later that evening, a source told People. Chris Evans, 42, and Alba Baptista, 26, first sparked dating rumors in 2021, but it wasn’t until November 2022 that Evans confirmed they’d been dating for over a year.

“It’s serious,” a source told People at the time. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.” According to Us Weekly, the two reportedly “got serious” in January 2023. “This is the most committed anyone can remember him being in a very long time, if not ever,” a source revealed to the outlet, adding: “They spend most of their time at his place in Massachusetts and love the quiet life there, surrounded by nature and away from the spotlight. Chris was very open that he wanted to take his time before settling down.”

In an interview with People last year, Evans foreshadowed his nuptials, telling the outlet—without mentioning Baptista by name—that we was ready to take the plunge into marriage. “That’s absolutely something I want,” he said. “Wife, kids, building a family.”
