This weekend, a wedding reminiscent of the most romantic of fairytales unfolded at Dubai Opera. Hoteliers Ayesha Al Fahim and Abdulla Al Gurg tied the knot in a grandiose ceremony featuring refreshing hues of yellow and green. Featuring breathtaking views of the Dubai skyline, an Elie Saab bridal gown, and lively entertainment, this was certainly an event to remember.

Flickering candles lit the pathway towards the entrance of the wedding venue, revealing delicate floral arrangements that set the mood for everything that awaited inside. Within the wedding hall, an air of opulence exuded from every corner as hostesses adorned in green ensured the couple’s guests were taken care of. In one corner, a traditional olfactory experience awaited those who were willing to partake: a perfume station displaying an array of mesmerizing scents. Elsewhere, live music enveloped the evening, while a pop-up from Dubai-based patisserie Yann Couvreur offered up sweet delights. Every detail, from the tastefully folded napkins, to the stunning stage, stood as a testimony to the international acclaim of wedding planners Carousel.

While the decor was certainly easy on the eyes, the highlight of the evening was without a doubt the bride’s entrance. For her big moment, Ayesha Al Fahim walke down the aisle in a sparkling white Elie Saab gown. The mermaid-cut number painted an alluring figure, while the detachable train trailing behind her added just the right amount of drama. A pair of pointed toe Elie Saab heels and glittering diamond jewelry completed the ensemble, while a timeless beauty look — created by none other than renowned makeup artist Hindash — complemented everything perfectly. Keeping in tandem with the color scheme of the evening, groom Abdulla Al Gurg looked dapper as ever in a traditional white and gold ensemble.
The best moments from Ayesha Al Fahim and Abdulla Al Gurg’s wedding
The couple’s wedding stood out not just due to their impeccable attention to every detail, but also for the entertainment for the evening. Saudi musician Abdul Majeed Abdullah and Lebanese artist Yara (dressed ina custom orange dress from Charbel Zoe) marked Ayesha Al Fahim and Abdulla Al Gurg’s big day with wonderful performances. Another highlight of the evening was the cake cutting ceremony. Ayesha and Abdulla spent their first moments as newlyweds slicing through their multi-layered floral-detailed cake by The Caketress with a regal sword – a promising sign of an equally royal ever after.
