The Must-Have Pieces From This Ramadan’s Exclusive Capsule Collections

In anticipation of the Holy Month of Ramadan, designers around the world and across the region are paying homage to the Middle East through a series of capsule collections touting exclusive pieces and culturally-inspired designs perfect for any iftar celebration.

Syrian designer of the stars Rami Al Ali effortlessly blends the modest traditions of the East with the feminine playfulness of the West through pastel-colored kaftans decorated with delicate beaded embellishments that evoke memories of the effortless glamour of the Sixties.

Drawing inspiration from its regional heritage, Ingie Paris released a collection of floor-length dresses for its Dubai Mall and Kingdom Mall boutiques in the UAE and Saudi Arabia respectively. While the brand’s Parisian elegance continues to shine through with pleated hems, draped necklines, and fitted high waists, the variety of light fabrics and relaxed silhouettes on the limited-edition maxi dresses are decidedly local, championing the timeless sophistication of the modern Middle Eastern woman.

Also unveiling a collection exclusively for its Dubai Mall store, Loro Piana presents a selection of sophisticated yet comfortable pieces with the signature soft touch of the Italian maison in silk, linen, and cotton. Wrap skirts, tunics, and buttonless jackets envelop the wearer in warm desert hues and geometric zellige patterns reminiscent of Moroccan mosaics for a wardrobe easily transitional from day to evening.

Meanwhile online, luxury e-retailer Net-a-Porter is launching a carefully curated assortment of flowing gowns to wear throughout Ramadan and during Eid today, March 26. Named “The Modest Edit”, this exclusive campaign features 20 edits from a range of acclaimed creatives, including Arab designers SemSem and Reem Acra as well as international favorites Oscar de la Renta and Jenny Packham.
