"I like to work surrounded by too many people that I actually feel like i'm in a really private space. That's when I come up with my best ideas. I need the energy of a mass of humanity without necessarily hearing their input. "

"My ideas come in bursts, accumulate and interact with each other then I lay them out in a series of sketches. I think of these sketches for weeks and then, visiting my material suppliers, decide which direction to go for."

"A typical work day for me varies. I spend three quarters of the year frantically hopping from one country to another chasing sampling, production, trade fairs, PR and fashion weeks. It varies day by day. I can wake up at 4am to catch a flight and be at the factory by 10am, chase a deadline at an airport lounge at 3am whatsapping my assistant (who refuses to go to sleep) or spend all day in my warehouse taking inventory and coming up with a new online sales strategy."

"Being wired constantly is the best vaccine against creativity. Log out of Instagram. Wedge your phone at the very bottomest bottom of your backpack and go walking somewhere pleasant with lots of green and sheep for a very long time. Smell fresh air, read a book, eat something good, drink something mind-blowing, fall into a deep conversation. That's how I do it. My creativity comes from a very naive, innocent place."
