On February 26, Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum celebrated her birthday in a grand manner, and also revealed big news — the gender of her soon-to-be-born child.

February 26 was a special day for the royal family, marking the 30th birthday of Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum, who tied the knot with Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum earlier this year.
For her milestone birthday, the princess hosted a celebration like no other. Doused in varying shades of baby pink, the birthday celebration brought together rosy decor elements — think thousands of pink and pearly white balloons, fresh blooms in the same romantic palette, and one very exciting, unexpected element: a baby pink balloon with a question mark on it.
The mysterious balloon immediately told well-wishers of Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum that good news lay ahead. In case you missed it, the royal revealed her pregnancy back in October. And now, we also know that she is expecting a little girl. Confirming the speculations was a special balloon that came printed with the message “It’s A Girl”. Mom-to-be Sheikha Mahra’s pregnancy announcement outfits
Given that she was celebrating both, her birthday and her baby’s gender reveal, Sheikha Mahra opted for not one, but two ensembles yesterday. While both her pink picks were distinctly different from one another, they did share some commonalities — both looks were stylish, yet comfortable enough for an expecting mom on the go.

While celebrating her birthday with her nearest and dearest, including her mother, and husband Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum, Sheikha Mahra posed for cameras in a powder pink maxi dress with billowing sheer sleeves and a relaxed fit. Twinning with her mother, Sheikha Mahra painted a pretty picture with her blonde locks styled in romantic waves, and a glowy makeup look in washes of rose.

For her gender reveal, however, the expecting royal changed her outfit to a textured coral kaftan which came with metallic silver embroidery along its edges. With Ramadan right around the corner, we expect this outfit of the royal’s to make it to several festive moodboards.
A closer look at the all-pink decor of Sheikha Mahra’s big celebration
Seemingly hosted at a residential spot, Sheikha Mahra’s birthday and gender reveal stood out for all it’s interesting decor details. The hero of her party space was a tall pink photo wall emblazoned with “Happy birthday Mahra” in pretty gold calligraphy. Framing this spot were countless pink and white balloons, which came in a myriad of sizes and were accompanied by beautiful bouquets of ivory and pink blooms. Hundreds of candles lit the way, while colorful presents dotted the space.

As for her birthday cake, Sheikha Mahra found herself spoilt for choice at her celebration with not one, but two delectable treats. The first cake, which came from Sheikh Mana Al Maktoum, featured a picture of the royal with one of her much-loved horses, and the sweetest of messages: “Happy birthday with all of my heart from your forever loving husband to the one and only love of my life.” The second cake, a creamy white six tier creation, came topped off with intricate floral detailing, and a gold crown at the very top.
