HM Queen Rania‘s birthday this year was particularly special as she welcomed two new members to the family. The Jordanian royal celebrated her 52nd birthday on August 31 with Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, the fiancé of her daughter Princess Iman, and Rajwa Al Saif, the wife-to-be of her son Crown Prince Hussein.

The moment was rightfully captured in a new family portrait that featured all members except for HM King Abdullah II. “My heart is full!” wrote the Jordanian royal sharing the photo on her social media. “Couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate than with all my loved ones around me.” As with all portraits of the royal family, all members were dressed in smart casuals in a range of neutral shades for a color-coordinated look. Queen Rania was seen wearing a blue blouse with an embroidered neckline, which was paired with high-waisted brown trousers cinched at the waist by a thin patterned belt. The mother-of-four was all smiles as she stood next to the new additions to the family, Thermiotis and Al Saif.

Alongside looking over humanitarian initiatives close to her heart, Queen Rania’s birthday also saw her royal office release a number of new portraits, including a never-seen-before photo with Vogue Arabia. According to her office, she set off on a two-day tour across Jordan on her birthday to visit children in refugee camps as they return to school, and also visit Unicef-supported Makani centers to meet the youth engaged in entrepreneurship, green jobs, and climate action.
