Princess Charlotte is basically a mini version of her dad, Prince William, in a new Twitter video.
On July 31, Prince William and his seven-year-old daughter wished England women’s soccer team good luck against Germany in their Euro 2022 final match. “Good luck tonight @Lionesses, we’re all cheering for you,” the Duke of Cambridge wrote in the Twitter caption.
“We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck tonight, you’ve done amazingly well in the competition and we’re rooting for you all the way,” Willam said in the video. Charlotte added, “Good luck! I hope you win. Bye!”

The Lionesses ultimately won the championship match, two to one. Clearly, Princess Charlotte’s well-wishes were heard. Just last month, Prince William told the team to keep an eye out for Charlotte in the future. “Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she is really good at goal,” William said during a team practice, per People. “She’s a budding star for the future.”
She may be a soccer star and orchestra conductor in the making, but can we also talk about how much the princess looks like her dad?
This isn’t the first time the young royal has drawn comparisons to other members of the royal family. Back in 2021, the princess’s sixth birthday portrait sparked debate over whether or not Charlotte looked more like her father or her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The year before that, the internet noticed that she bore a striking resemblance to her second cousin Lady Sarah Chatto, the daughter of Queen Elizabeth’s only sister, Princess Margaret.
Frankly, I think the answer is clear:

Even her parents see it. In 2020, Prince William was confused over a picture of his younger self that he thought looked just like Charlotte. “Is that me?” Prince William said, per People. “Because that looks just like Charlotte. That is incredible.”
Kate Middleton agreed, adding, “It looks so much like Charlotte.”
