A video of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council posing for selfies with a couple of UAE residents in London has gone viral. The video captures the Dubai royal, who is in the UK for a summer break and took time out to pose with the two fans from the front seat of his car.

Captured and shared by Ahmad Jaber Al Harbi, a friend and regular travel companion of the Crown Prince, the video was captioned, “When a Dubai resident spotted @faz3 in #London.” In an ensuing conversation, the excited fan requests Sheikh Hamdan for a picture with him and the father of two immediately agrees to the behest.

It can be quite arduous to get close to royals, but this is not the first time the Crown prince of Dubai has gone viral on social media for his endearing nature. Last year in September, a chance meeting between Sheikh Hamdan and Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, on a London street went viral online. The unexpected rendezvous happened near the Selfridges department store in Oxford Street and saw Sheikh Hamdan exchange a friendly hug with Sheikh Humaid, who is also the president of the UAE Football Association.

The 39-year-old customarily spends some time every year in London during the summer and it was also from the UK that Sheikh Hamdan shared some of the earliest photos of his son, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan.

The Instagram post was taken at the Godolphin stables in the UK and shows the father-son duo interacting with the star racing horse, Adayar. The picture was captioned, “Training and education should start early on. Rashid and Sheikha came to see Adayar and wish him the best!” Sheikh Rashid and his twin sister, Sheikha Sheikha bint Hamdan, were born last year in May.
