HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, took to social media on Sunday and called out to the public for help locating a good samaritan seen in a viral video. The man in question is Pakistani expat Abdul Ghafoor Abdul Hakeem, who is a delivery driver by profession and was captured removing concrete blocks from an intersection on a road in the city.

“An act of goodness in Dubai to be praised. Can someone point me to this man?” Sheikh Hamdan asked on Twitter by posting the 22-second video clip. The video appears to be taken by another motorist waiting in an adjacent lane and shows Abdul Hakeem dressed in the Talabat uniform doing the good deed. In the video, Abdul Hakeem was seen patiently waiting for the traffic to clear before he proceeded to quickly run towards the blocks and remove them out of the way despite the sunny weather the country has been experiencing.

Within 20 minutes of the Twitter post going live, Sheikh Hamdan followed up the tweet by saying he had found the resident. “The good man has been found,” he wrote, along with a picture of the thoughtful delivery driver and added, “Thank you Abdul Ghafoor, you are one of a kind. We will meet soon!”

The royal, although overseas at the moment, called the Talabat employee and spoke to him personally. According to Abdul Hakeem, he got a call from Dubai Police confirming his contact details and told him that the Crown Prince would like to speak to him. The delivery rider said he “could not believe his ears” after he received the call from Sheikh Hamdan. “To be honest, I’m still in disbelief that the Sheikh wanted to speak to a common man like me,” said Abdul Hakeem and added, “He is really a great leader.”
