Today, November 14, marks the 40th birthday of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. While the royal did not make a great deal out of his milestone birthday on social media and instead focused his posts on the Dubai Fitness Challenge, he did share two heartwarming images of his children with his many well-wishers. Seemingly taken at his home, the pictures see his twins, Rashid and Shaikha, holding giant ‘Happy Birthday’ balloons.

Now aged one-and-a-half years old, the twins were born in May last year after Sheikh Hamdan tied the knot with Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum in 2019. The crown prince celebrated their first birthday by sharing a throwback photo of the newborns in his arms, captioned: “Feels like just yesterday this picture was taken. It’s been one year today. Happy birthday Rashid & Shaikha and to all the children of the world.”
On his 40th birthday, wishes have been pouring in from his family members including his brother Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, who took to Instagram to share a special message.
