Nour Najem

Born and raised in Beirut, Nour Najem graduated in fashion design from ESMOD Beirut in 2012. Throughout her career, she has interned at several Lebanese designers, such as Elie Saab, Rabih Kayrouz, and Caroline Seikaly. She launched her eponymous fashion label in the spring of 2013.

Najem addresses the modern and independent woman through fluid lines, luscious fabrics, and intricate details. She combines strict geometry and architecture while being anchored in her oriental heritage.

In 2014, Najem launched the Kenzah foundation, in parallel to her brand. Through this NGO, she works with talented artisans, using overlooked craftsmanship with the hope of empowering women who come from underprivileged backgrounds. In December 2014, Nour was selected by the STARCH foundation, the emerging talents incubator, to showcase and highlight her talent. Since then she has participated in international trade fairs in Paris and Dubai, and is a laureate of contests such as the V&A Art Jameel prize, the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la mode à Marseille, and the International Woolmark Prize.

Her passion for heritage and craftsmanship and skills as a multidisciplinary designer propelled her as the creative director of L’Artisan du Liban since September 2017.
