After a full day of shows by the likes of Chloé, Paco Rabanne, Balmain, and Rick Owens, the fashion crowd where ushered into the gilded rooms of the Hotel d’Evreux in Paris’s Place Vendôme to see Claudia Schiffer’s capsule collection for Aquazzura. Designer Edgardo Osorio welcomed friends Naty Abascal, Racil Chaloub, Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief, Manuel Arnaut, and Vogue Germany editor-in-chief, Christian Arp, to the show illuminated by chandeliers and decorated with white hydrangeas placed in cloud formations – a nod to Schiffer’s pet name, “Cloudy.”
Against a royal blue backdrop and clouds, guests waited in anticipation for the entrance of one of the world’s most famous supermodels. Arriving on the arm of Osorio, Schiffer, who recently made her catwalk comeback at Versace, posed for photographs alongside her bespoke shoe collection in collaboration with Aquazzura. Camel-colored suede booties; royal blue flats; and strappy sandals all served as personal reference points for the super, each created to look equally at home on a school run or red carpet event.
