Victoria and David Beckham are said to have battled coronavirus earlier this year, while traveling between the United States and the UK. The British designer and her footballer husband are alleged to have contracted the virus at the beginning of March before the lockdown was introduced in both the US and the UK.

The Beckham family split their time between the United States and the UK and were traveling to attend duties for David Beckham’s football club Inter Miami. It is said that between March 5 and 19 the couple attended a number of networking events and promotional parties in the US, which led them to catch the virus. As they returned to the UK it is thought that other members of their family and staff also came into contact with the virus.

March proved to be a busy month for the family, as they supported David’s Inter Miami’s first away game in Los Angeles and a few days later celebrated their eldest son Brooklyn’s 21st birthday with an extravagant party in the Cotswolds, UK, before returning back to the US.

Victoria Beckham took to Instagram on March 19 to express her gratitude to the UK’s National Health Service and all key workers around the world.

The designer also called for more action to be taken on the institutionalized and systemic racism in the fashion industry. On June 6 the designer took to Instagram in response to the devastating events surrounding the killing of 46-year old George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25.

Despite rising to fame with pop group The Spice Girls, Victoria Beckham has made a significant name for herself in the fashion world, launching her eponymous label in September 2008. David Beckham, on the other hand, has been busy developing his football team Inter Miami, which made its Major League Soccer debut in 2020.
