Mark Your Calendars, The Dubai Walk of Fame will be Unveiled Next Week

The highly-anticipated Dubai Stars will reveal its star-studded walkway on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard on Sunday, October 20.

Downtown Dubai will be the new host of international and Arab celebrities from all around the world, as well as the city’s hottest landmark. While this is only the first phase, 400 stars will be unveiled during a glittering launch ceremony next week. Once the project is complete, Dubai Stars will house the names of 10,000 celebrities, including actors Rami Malek and Priyanka Chopra, singers Beyonce and Nancy Ajram, football stars Mo Salah and Lionel Messi, as well as designer Elie Saab and beauty mogul Huda Kattan.

An incredible gesture that marks the success of these unique personalities, the Dubai Stars – when completed – will include four times the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, this isn’t the end of the celebration.

Also set on the same date as the launch of the Dubai Stars is the ‘One Year to Go’ concert, which begins the countdown to Expo 2020. The free show is ideally located next to the city’s newest attraction, Burj Park, Downtown Dubai, where International singer Mariah Carey and Emirati superstar Hussain Al Jassmi are set to take center stage. According to Emaar, Al Jassmi has already been named one of the recipients of the Dubai Stars.

The city has managed to pay homage to every industry — from film, music, sports to literature, art, and social media. The incredibly inclusive list brings in celebrities from Hollywood to Bollywood, making Dubai Stars the home of famous personalities.

At the time of the project launch, managing director of Emaar Properties Ahmad Al Matrooshi, said: “With Dubai Stars, we are further highlighting our commitment to making Dubai the best city in the world, and to promoting arts, culture, and sports by saluting the stars, whose contributions continue to inspire the world.”
