Calvin Klein’s latest global campaign reunites social media’s most renowned siblings, the Kardashians-Jenners in the forthcoming evolution of Klein’s #MyCalvins call to action: Our Family. The campaign shot by Willy Vanderperre for Calvin Klein showcases all five sisters modelling Calvin Klein underwear and Spring 2018 denim effortlessly in what appears to be a more contemporary and adventurous interpretation of Americana.
The campaign aims to celebrate each sister’s unique style and essence and, although Kendall has already been the face of Calvin Klein in 2015, the sisters enjoy sharing the camera. “They make fun of me by saying, ‘Kendall, teach us what to do,’ but when it comes down to it, they all know exactly what they’re doing.” Kim added in a statement, “Family is everything, so when we’re all together doing something special like this, it means so much.”
Although this is the first time the iconic family have been all photographed together for an upcoming campaign, runway model Kendal Jenner is no stranger to the high-fashion modelling industry and has already made her mark after earning herself the title of the world’s highest-earning model. Kendal earned a generous US $22 million in 2017 beating Gisele Bündchen, former highest paid model in the world.
Artists including Kelela and Dev Hynes, the A$AP Mob and the Gerber siblings have all been the previous faces of the Calvin Klein campaign. Where each campaign has remained consistent and authentic to the brand and have been shot in similar locations showcasing Calvin Klein’s recognized patchwork blankets.
While the brand has become somewhat synonymous with controversial campaigns since the seventies including Kate Moss’s topless campaign with Mark Wahlberg in the nineties, the campaign has already received a lot of backlash from fans who have rushed to Vogue Arabia’s social media to express their opinions.
