Luxury jeweler Maria Tash will soon be bringing its infamous curated ear phenomenon to Kuwait in its second studio in the Middle East. Founded in New York City, the eponymous label specializing in fine jewelry piercings has taken the industry by storm with its bespoke designs and inventive styling steeped in self-expression.

Just as every person is unique, so is every ear. Treated as such at Maria Tash boutiques all around the world, expert stylists advise curious clients on the most flattering look for their ear specifically, combining individual taste and the actual anatomy for an “art meets science” approach.

After opening the first studio in the region at The Dubai Mall back in November 2018, the upcoming store on the ground floor in Prestige at The Avenues in Kuwait will begin welcoming jewelry enthusiasts in mid-April. Around the same size as its sister boutique in the UAE, the new 2,000sq ft location will feature a private women’s only lounge as a nod to the region.

“I am very proud of our presence and continued growth in the Middle East,” revealed Tash. “The Kuwait store opening marks our second location in the region and a significant expansion point for the brand. The new store is inspired by the ambiance of our Dubai location, which sets the new standard for the size and design of future Maria Tash stores globally.”

With clients ranging from former Vogue Arabia cover stars Hailey Bieber, Rihanna, and Ashley Graham to Jordan’s Queen Rania and Lebanese producer Diala Makki, Maria Tash has designed the ears of some of the world’s leading personalities. Yet, her clients from the Middle East hold a special place in her heart.

“Our Middle Eastern clients appreciate the same pieces I wear myself,” explained Tash. “I am excited to expand in the region because I have the freedom to design bolder pieces for an audience with a sophisticated eye.”

As the region waits for these “bolder designs” to emerge, local jewelry enthusiasts can continue to indulge in the delicate 14k and 18k white, yellow, rose, and black gold studs, hoops, and spikes that Maria Tash has become known for in the 16 years since its flagship opening in the US. Incorporating invisible set diamonds and vibrant gemstones with intricate settings that are custom-fitted to the lobe, cartilage, or body, each piece immediately becomes a part of the wearer instead of a simple adornment, continuing to revolutionize the way jewelry is perceived throughout the globe.
