One of the region’s most established designers, Zuhair Murad is the focus of Assouline’s next book. The masterful Lebanese couturier is known for his iconic looks and extraordinary red-carpet moments and will see some of his best creations rediscovered in luxury publisher, Assouline’s new title.
Named after the man himself, the Zuhair Murad book will feature in the Legends collection of Assouline’s 2020/21 catalog. Murad is known for dressing some of Hollywood’s most prominent and influential celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, as well as the region’s best talents including Lebanese singer Najwa Karam. Highly regarded by stars and critics alike, Murad’s distinctive designs reflect the combined elements from cultures across Asia, Europe, and Africa. “We have created so many moments together. We have a great relationship. He’s a beautiful man and a beautiful designer,” says Lopez, who is often seen in Murad’s most iconic looks, such as her Met Gala moment in 2010, and hails him as one of her favorite designers.
Murad is also one of the most distinguished designers among regional stars, such as Egyptian superstar Yousra who donned a Zuhair Murad custom-made dress for the Oscars earlier this year.

Recognized for his “unparalleled glamour” and couture creations, Murad reflects the elegance and power of women throughout his work. The book will feature some of his most breathtaking looks, from which his inspiration is often drawn from a “woman with an hourglass silhouette” which celebrates the “female form divine.”

The Zuhair Murad book will be presented in a luxury slipcase, with the cover detailing some of the intricate work of one of his designs and includes over 500 illustrations of Murad’s innovative creations.
