Can a Slouchy Gray Pantsuit Pop on the Red Carpet? Zendaya Says Yes With Her Latest Outfit

It’s safe to say the women’s pantsuit is now in its slouchy silhouette phase, with the help of a big push from Zendaya. After making headlines in a form-fitting pantsuit at the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party, the 25-year-old star attended an event for her show Euphoria last night, proving she can pull off a relaxed version of the tailored ensemble with just as much ease.

To make a bold statement, the actor looked to Fear of God, the brand helmed by designer Jerry Lorenzo and well known for both, loungewear and contemporary tailoring. The suit featured his signature design traits such as the lapel-less blazer, and a silhouette that was all about laid-back elegance. As if that wasn’t enough to earn Zendaya style points, the Spider-Man star took it a step further with a refreshing new take on neutral colors. Zendaya’s outfit came in a cool shade of gray that is rarely seen on the red carpet even in the form of one piece, let alone in a monochrome moment like the actor’s, whose blazer, crew neck top, trousers, and Louboutins all featured the same color.

The Dune lead kept the rest of her look minimalistic with a watch, a few rings, and Bulgari diamond earrings, and her glam for the evening matched the relaxed but polished vibe of her outfit. For her hair, Zendaya looked to one of her signature gelled-back hairstyles, but this time in a chic bob tucked at the nape of her neck, while her makeup look was completed with a grey smoky eye and glossy nude lips.

Although most noteworthy, Zendaya is not the only renowned name to have made a case for the slouchy, monochrome suit recently. At the Invictus Games 2022, Meghan Markle too wore a custom Valentino oversized suit in white, which was followed by Saudi actor Fatima Al Banawi‘s pastel blue pick by designer Arwa Al Banawi, and Kim Kardashian‘s navy blue number by Prada.
