Yousra’s Red Carpet Style Formula is On-Point for Party Season

The Egyptian actor, UNDP Goodwill ambassador, and icon of Arab cinema, Yousra has transformed herself many a time on the big screen. From a High Priestess in The Emigrant (1994), a school teacher in The Storm (2000), to a waitress in Kalam Fel Hob (2005). Her versatile and elegant style translates offscreen into the red carpet, too. This year, the superstar has turned heads in a line-up of show-stopping ensembles by Arab designers at the most recent Dubai International Film Festival and Cairo International Film Festival. Whether arriving at the 2017 Dubai International Film Festival premiere wearing Rami Al Ali or stunning fans in a black Elie Saab number at the closing ceremony of the 39th Cairo International Film Festival, Yousra continues to pull off a range of arresting looks in her impressive, longstanding career. Favoring designers such as Yousef al Jasmi, Intisars, and Okhtein, the Egyptian icon is known to accessorize with luxurious silk or fur stoles. As DIFF concluded film festivals in the Arab region for 2017, we take a look back at Yousra’s best red carpet moments from 2010 to last week.
