2017’s Fashion Awards ceremony held at the Royal Albert Hall in London was far from a low-key affair. Quite the contrary, the glittering throng of attendees included the likes of Donatella Versace, Lewis Hamilton, Pink, Vogue Arabia cover stars Jourdan Dunn, Farida Khelfa, and Imaan Hammam. Naomi Campbell led the charge on honoring the late Tunisian designer Azzedine Alaïa alongside thirteen other iconic women that had a connection with the Paris-based couturier. No less, Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri remembered the late Franca Sozzani. As fashion’s leading lights celebrated the heritage and names that have broken new ground in the world of design and sartorial advancement, the British Fashion Council highlighted the names of the future.
