It’s celebrating its 10th birthday, so we’re marking the occasion with an impressive 10-day line-up of events. The Dubai Mall is this month recognizing a decade since it first opened its doors, and Vogue Arabia is bringing a host of fashion powerhouses, regional style icons, and industry insiders to the iconic shopping destination in a landmark calendar of festivities.
Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue will be held at The Dubai Mall between November 15-24, allowing readers, fans, and shoppers to get up close and personal with their favorite celebrities, designers, and supermodels. The unforgettable experience, which will be held in the mall’s Fashion Avenue, is bringing the style capitals of the world to Dubai, creating four distinct districts that will visually whisk you away to Paris, New York, Milan, and London. The immersive installations will offer you that perfect Instagram backdrop, while beauty masterclasses and inspirational talks will ensure you look and feel your best.
Our unmissable itinerary includes an exclusive talk from legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell, who will open up about her inimitable career in conversation with Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut. The catwalk icon will also be signing copies of the November issue of Vogue Arabia (the cover of which she graces in the boldest animal prints). In the spirit of Campbell, who has petitioned for a more inclusive industry throughout her decades of work, we will also be hosting a panel debate on diversity in fashion, with Ghizlan Guenez, CEO of The Modist, and activist Sinéad Burke in attendance.
Over the 10-day event, Lebanese superstar Nancy Ajram will be welcomed to the main stage, where she will perform her many hits, while Dubai-based songstress Layla Kardan will also treat the crowds to a show during. Some of the Arab world’s most revered screen sirens will be jetting in for the occasion, where they’ll discuss their rise to fame and red carpet style in a panel talk, and influencers Dana Hourani, Dima Al Sheikhly, and Hala Abdallah will later share their musings on making social media work to your advantage.
When it comes to beauty, entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian will be revealing some of her top hair tricks, while industry experts including Mohammed Hindash and Dr. Jaffer Khan will sit down with Vogue Arabia’s beauty editor Alexandra Venison to mull over the changing face of the beauty industry in the Middle East. Finally, rounding out our dynamic calendar is a talk with the region’s most coveted young designers, such as Arwa Al Banawi, the Al Marzook siblings, and Lama Jouni, who will open up on their celebrity-beloved collections and what it’s like to be a style entrepreneur.
Aside from live talks and performances, we’re also celebrating with exclusive designer presentations, in-store events, and special-edition releases, as well as live music and delectable food to get you in the party spirit.
See you at the Avenue!
