Inside Last Night’s Vogue.me One-Year Anniversary Party

Yesterday night, designers, Arabia’s social set, and the fashion industry at large descended upon the Base nightclub in the Dubai Design District to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Vogue.me along with the launch of Vogue Man Arabia supplement. Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut, guests included international designers Mary Katrantzou and Nabil El-Nayal, 2016 Fashion Prize winner Reemami, Mohammed Ashi, Eudon Choi, Fahad and Shouq Al Marzooq of Marzook, digital influencers including Karen Wazen, Rhea Jacobs, Saufeeya Goodson, Eugenia Polyakova, and more. Also in attendance was the first Saudi woman to conquer Mount Everest, Raha Moharrak.

Guests mingled inside the open-air venue and danced the night away to beats by DJ Mel DeBarge, who flew in specially from New York for the occasion. Midway through the glamorous fete, Vogue Arabia Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut thanked guests in a speech and also unveiled the new Lincoln Navigator. The Black Label line of SUVs boasts luxury detailing and is due to be publicly launched in the region at the Dubai International Motor Show on November 14th.

“We are the 22nd Vogue to launch worldwide, and we broke into the market digital-first to show our commitment to the future — and because we are the Vogue of the future,” he began. “Today is very important, because we are celebrating one year of Vogue.me and the launch of the Vogue Man Arabia supplement, our newest addition to the Vogue family.” Two-time CFDA nominee Syrian designer Nabil El-Nayal remarked of his first trip to Dubai, “It’s just very surreal to be here. Everything is so impressive.” Later in the evening, observing the radiant crowd, Minthe remarked, “I think all our friends are happy tonight because we are celebrating their VogueEveryone who is here has directly contributed to its success.”
