Shopping for a loved one or for yourself this festive season is about to get a whole lot better with Vogue Arabia and Facilité joining forces to launch a special winter pop-up. December 8 onwards, have your credit cards ready to indulge in some retail therapy while supporting homegrown designers. Facilité, the multidimensional creative space ideally located in Dubai Design District (d3), is all set to boast collections from a curated selection of Arab and Dubai-based designers who have long been supported by Vogue Arabia in its mission to promote the work of our regional talent.
“After launching our major digital campaign last year, #BuyArabDesigners, we decided to put together this pop-up with Facilité for regional designers to have an extra platform to sell their creations,” said Vogue Arabia editor-in-chief Manuel Arnaut.
“This festive season, buy regional brands to support our fashion industry, so we can all grow together. Indeed, design and fashion are an integral part of a region’s culture, and it is up to us to celebrate this heritage through the work of our creative system.”
Owner of Dubai-based PR agency Faux and founder of Facilité, Firras Alwahabi noted, “Several brands and designers that have come out of the region are now receiving significant recognition globally, and I think it’s so important that we, as a local community, continue supporting our home-grown talents in the same breadth as global retailers and platforms.”
Adding: “Facilité functions as a multi-purpose conceptual space and since launching last year, we have paid a heavy focus on events and activations that promote Middle Eastern brands, and we’re so excited to continue championing that with Vogue Arabia who have been great advocators of ‘Buy Arab Designers.'”
At d3, the vibrant-colored façade of Facilité adorned with the Vogue Arabia logo is one that is hard to miss and inside the space, shoppers can find the latest collections from ready-to-wear labels All Things Mochi, Dima Ayad, Lama Jouni, Madiyah Al Sharqi, Mariam Alsibai, Reemami, and Semsem. Joining them are accessory and jewelry labels HALM Handbags, Karen Wazen Eyewear, L’Afshar, Marzook, Okhtein, Philo, Roberi & Fraud, Lama Hourani, and Bil Arabi.
