Tunisian Model Rym Saidi Shines in a Georges Hobeika Gown

Finding a perfect wedding guest dress can be tricky. But leave it to Rym Saidi, who is expecting a baby boy with her husband Wissam Breidy, to show us how it’s done. This weekend, the Tunisian model attended a friend’s wedding with her husband in tow, and for the occasion chose an asymmetrical, baby blue design, with embellishments across the bodice and a flowing, chiffon train, by Georges Hobeika.

It’s not the first time the Lebanese couturier has dressed Saidi for a wedding ceremony. In fact, the model chose a bridal gown by Hobeika for her very own nuptials to Breidy in a lavish wedding reception surrounded by 800 guests at Lebanon’s Chateau Rweiss last year. The custom-designed wedding dress, which took approximately three months to create, was a beautiful mermaid gown featuring white silk tulle, exquisitely embroidered with transparent sequins and colored oval beads, and replete with an extravagant, hooded cape fully embroidered in crystals, multi-colored beads, and thousands of silk organza, laser-cut flowers.

The unborn baby will be the couple’s first child together. Saidi and Breidy officially tied the knot on September 1, 2017 in a civil ceremony in Milan, which was then followed by celebrations in Breidy’s home country of Lebanon. The television presenter first announced the exciting news that his wife was expecting on Mother’s Day. Breidy shared an image of himself and his wife with a sonogram, writing: “So happy to share the beautiful news with you all. Sorry for the delay, I know many of you were excited to know before but we wanted to wait a bit to make sure the baby is safe and healthy before sharing our happiness with you.”
