Following two successful collections together, Tommy Hilfiger reveals the Fall 2017 Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid offering in collaboration with Palestinian-American supermodel and Vogue Arabia cover star, Gigi Hadid.
The capsule, which features women’s sportswear, footwear, and accessories— including watches and sunglasses— will premiere during the designer’s see-now-buy-now runway show during London Fashion Week.
“Gigi and I wanted to make this season feel glamorous and a little bit daring, and we really had fun with the designs. I’ve always believed Gigi to be a fashion icon, and with this third capsule collection, she blurs the boundaries between fashion and rock-and-roll,” Hilfiger says in a statement.
The offering features a selection of need-it-now pieces that take inspiration from the ’90’s Rock’n’Roll style and plays with oversized proportions, high-shine leathers, denim, and flannel.
“Collaborating with Tommy has been a great introduction to the world of design, and has also taught me about expressing my individuality and finding inspiration in everything around me,” says Hadid, of working with the designer for three consecutive seasons. “As with our previous two capsules I stayed true to my personal style, blending my personal twist with the brand’s DNA into every piece of the collection.”
Hilfiger has a long history of working with inspiring pop culture icons. Past collaborators have included David Bowie, Iman, Beyoncé, Naomi Campbell, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, however, Hadid is his longest-standing collaborator. The supermodel is set to design another (her fourth) collection for their collaborative label.
