Tommy Hilfiger headed to sunny California to stage his Tommyland runway show extravaganza. The American designer presented his Spring 2017 see-now-buy-now collection, which included the Tommy x Gigi sophomore capsule collection.
En route to Los Angeles, a pack of models––including Gigi Hadid, sister Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls, and Devon Windsor––boarded a private Air Tommy jet, clad in the collection’s bomber jackets, which are available now.
Held in Venice Beach, the show unfolded amid a theme park backdrop that featured food trucks, carnival games, rides, and a star-studded front row with the likes of Kris Jenner, Kaia Gerber, and Lucky Blue Smith. Fresh off the heels of her headline-making Super Bowl halftime performance, Lady Gaga made a striking appearance on the front row, wearing a sequined outfit for the occasion. The singer elevated her look with a set of bold, bedazzled eyebrows that she pulled off with equal aplomb.
On the runway, the show opened with color-block, sporty-infused separates that eased into patchwork denim and bohemian inspired silhouettes. A revival of baby blue metallic designs in the form of zip-front pants and biker jackets harked back to the ‘90s.
Meanwhile, models with sleek, center-parted hair and clean, radiant complexions revealed a myriad of flowing, printed maxi dresses in a nautical palette, which will be fit for this summer’s roster of music festivals.
