The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrapped up their royal tour of Morocco on behalf of Queen Elizabeth on Monday. The three-day whirlwind trip saw Meghan Markle partake in a traditional henna ceremony, stun in a custom Dior kaftan-inspired gown for an evening reception at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Rabat, and cook traditional food with underprivileged children. For her final day in the North African country with Prince Harry, the Duchess met with the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, and his sisters Princess Lalla Hasna and Princess Lalla Meryem, at his royal residence in Rabat.
For the occasion, the former Suits actress donned a blue, printed gown from Carolina Herrera. The floor-length dress featured ruffled sleeves and a flowing silhouette and was in line with the country’s conservative dress codes. She elevated the modest look with a nude clutch and Cartier stud earrings, which looked just like the ones she wore for her nuptials to Prince Harry back in May.
The chiffon dress was Markle’s third outfit of the day. For a morning visit to the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports, she chose a classic pair of black jeans with striped shirt worn underneath a green J.Crew jacket. That same afternoon, she wore a black pleated dress from Loyd Ford, which she paired with a white blazer from Babaton for Aritzia to visit the Andalusian Gardens in Rabat.
The Morocco visit was her last before she steps away from her royal duties in preparation of the arrival of baby Sussex. However, Markle, who returned to Kensington Palace on Tuesday, is expected to have another baby shower in the coming weeks.
