Free-form, always free-thinking and a free spirit – Tasaki global creative director, Prabal Gurung, constantly pushes the boundaries. The Japanese fine jewelry brand designs for the modern, confident woman of today; a world explorer with a curious mind. Now, Tasaki celebrates the launch of its first stand-alone boutique in Europe, on London’s prestigious New Bond Street.
Since being founded in 1954, Tasaki’s signature pearl creations have two defining qualities at the core: sustainability and craftsmanship. Pearls are farmed in the nutrient-rich waters of Japan and Myanmar, in Tasaki’s own pearl farms, producing the best quality pearls, including the rare Akoya and golden South Sea pearls. The ethical processes result in Tasaki pearls radiating a lustrous shine.
For its first stand-alone boutique in Europe, Tasaki selected London’s exclusive Mayfair neighborhood – a fitting choice, since Gurung’s first Tasaki collection was inspired by a trip to the British capital. The boutique’s balanced geometric interior echoes the brand’s flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, thereby creating a unique and harmonious environment. The 466 sqm boutique comprises seven floors, with a series of intimate areas dedicated to showcasing a range of jewelry collections, including Tasaki
Atelier – designed by Gurung – the Tasaki Collection Line, and M/G Tasaki. The second floor features a client salon.
In celebration of its stylish new European flagship, Tasaki created an exclusive eight-piece high jewelry collection called Brilliant Grace. Inspired by the ocean, the collection plays with the romantic image of the silent underwater world and sunlight flickering beneath the waves. The contemporary take on pearls embodies the true spirit of Japan: subtle, elegant, and embracing the beauty of nature.
