According to the rumor mill, there is a potential Supreme x Dolce & Gabbana collection in the works. Last night, Instagram was flooded with a series of cryptic images hinting at a potential collaboration between the two brands, which started with Instagram account @boxlogosupreme. The account, which routinely reports on Supreme news (but is not affiliated with the brand) wrote “Just signed off on earlier this week, Supreme will be collaborating with Dolce and Gabbana for the Fall/Winter 2018 season. Expect a nice collection with multiple pieces priced at the normal high-end range.”
Though neither Supreme or the Italian label confirmed the news, one half of Dolce & Gabbana’s design duo Stefano Gabbana reposted two of the images circulating on Instagram on his official page, including an edit of himself and Domenico Dolce against a backdrop of Supreme’s ubiquitous box logo, which he simply captioned with three red heart emojis. Whether the designer just confirmed the collaboration or is simply using his platform to add fuel to the fire, one thing is for sure: He definitely knows how to get people talking.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the first time that Supreme collaborates with a luxury label. Just last year, the New York-based street brand founded by James Jebbia united with Louis Vuitton’s Kim Jones on a collaboration made in premium streetwear heaven. The highly sought-after collection of hoodies, belts, and luggage was unveiled at the French label’s men’s show in Paris Fall 2017.
Meanwhile, Dolce & Gabbana has a string of unlikely collaborations under its belt, including a limited-edition collection with Italian appliances brand Smeg that featured a hand-painted refrigerator.
