After being spotted on the arms of celebrities and influencers alike, Scottish brand Strathberry has finally made it to the Middle East, launching in Bloomingdale’s and Harvey Nichols in Dubai, stores in Kuwait, and online at Ounass. Available in a host of classic silhouettes, it is the brand’s signature metal bar that helps keep its bags secure and stand out from the crowd. Masterfully handcrafted in Spain from the highest quality materials, the concept behind the brand is affordable luxury.
Created by husband and wife design team Guy and Leeanne Hundleby, Strathberry was launched in 2013 in Edinburgh. “I could never understand why women had to pay so much for handmade, luxury bags and wanted to stay true to my own values of accessible luxury,” explains Leeanne. Experimenting with proportions and shape, the brand’s designs are first made out of paper before being handcrafted into the beautiful leathers. Blending Scottish heritage with Spanish craftsmanship, each bag takes up to 20 hours to make and is only available in limited numbers. Strathberry has expanded its line from the brand’s namesake tote, which comes in four different sizes and a host of colors, with a new backpack and the East/West bag.
