Call it the Meghan Markle effect. Almost everything the Duchess of Sussex wears goes on to immediately sell out. This includes everything from coats and dresses, to shoes and handbags – such as the burgundy Strathberry tote that she carried on her first official royal outing with Prince Harry in December 2017. Sending the internet into overdrive, the bag reportedly sold out within 11 seconds. Of course, it wasn’t the only time that the Duchess was spotted repping the Edinburgh-based accessories label. Markle has sported Strathberry handbags on numerous occasions, including during her royal engagements in Scotland and Ireland, skyrocketing the brand’s popularity. After receiving Markle’s royal stamp of approval, the range of bags would go on to be picked up by Nordstrom but, thanks to the aforementioned Meghan Markle effect, sold out almost instantly.
Now, Middle Eastern fans who want to get the royal’s style will be pleased to know that the Scottish accessories label has crafted an exclusive capsule collection tailored specifically for the region. Set to hit shelves in November, the four-piece offering will be available for purchase at Harvey Nichols Dubai, as well as Bloomingdale’s Dubai and Kuwait. The line-up includes the brand’s signature Nano Tote in embossed croc, and comes in four different color ways including black, grey, red, and blue.
Though the brand was first founded in 2013 by husband and wife Leeanne and Guy Hundleby, the Duchess of Sussex certainly took its exposure up a notch, causing its inventory to dry up at the speed of light, meaning that you may want to set a reminder on your phone for the capsule drop.
