Dressing for winter when travelling to colder climates can be a real chore, especially when contending with freezing cityscapes like the Big Apple or the slopes in Aspen. But don’t fear, the Hadid sisters are here and have the urbane dress code for such situations locked down.
Last week the sister act served next-level winter wardrobe goals wearing cosy key pieces and niche It items, from Bella’s Off-White X Timberland boots that are not officially available until March 2018 to Gigi’s Pawaka Duabelas sunglasses that have already sold out – there’s nothing quite like models sporting the unobtainable to keep their sartorial fans on tip-toe. Gigi’s cosy Maison Atia coat + basic leggings + Dr.Martens boots was a masterclass in monochromatic dressing. It’s not chic to shiver, and the debut Vogue Arabia cover girl proved that you can keep out the cold without dialling down on style.

Not long after spending a cosy festive period with her family and darting about NYC with her siblings in Chrome Hearts apparel, Bella jetted off to Aspen for a girl’s ski holiday with Simi & Haze and their little sister Gigi. Bella’s wardrobe consisted of key pieces from breakout brand I.Am.Gia, including the Pixie coat and Ace pants. Wearing Saudi sister act Simi & Haze opted for metallic Nike ski gear that looked sufficiently ‘city-slickeron-the-slopes’ cool.
The girl gang certainly cemented a few trends to keep rather than delete for the remainder of winter: chunky soles are in (be it on sneakers or stomping boots), prints to check (pun on purpose) in your closet include camo and snakeskin, and puffa coats are eternally cool (and practical).
Even at high altitude, the high-fashion crew kept their eyeliner at the cutting edge of cool. From color blocking neon shades (deftly styled by @SimiHaze) to Bella proclaiming her appreciation for Dior’s Luminizer en piste, “Not sure what I love more for the mountain… my @diormakeup#Luminizer or #LipGlow 😝 This highlighter stayed on all day! @diormakeup “. If you’re also hitting the slopes soon, this team of Arab models have raised the bar on how you play your fashion game slaloming down the coolest drifts.
