Pink is back in full force for fall. Less saccharine and more sophisticated, this mood-boosting hue that will brighten up your winter takes shape on streamlined silhouettes, current cuts and slick tailoring. Designer brands including Kenzo and Emilia Wickstead struck a soft note with powder pink ensembles that featured body-skimming separates and opulent materials. Gucci’s Alessandro Michele flirted with the color on the catwalk, where models were dressed in head-to-toe shades that ranged from carnation to punchy pink. Elsewhere, Public School translated the cheerful tone through eye-catching outerwear.
Pink had an overall strong presence amid Fall 2016 offerings. As the color has trickled into next season’s Spring 2017 collections, too, it seems that designers were not ready to part ways with the trend just yet. The shade of the moment showed up in varying intensities at Valentino, Céline, and Balenciaga, by way of fluid dresses.
