Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser is undoubtedly one of the world’s most loved royal personalities — not just for her dedication to philanthropy, but also for her impeccable style.

Over the years, the mother of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has proven time and again that modest fashion can be extremely versatile, making public appearances in everything from billowing abayas in unexpected hues, to flowing gowns and maxi dresses by the likes of Stephane Rolland, Valentino, Dior and many more. Every so often, the sheikha also enjoys stepping out in trousers. Case in point, her latest look, seen just hours ago in Qatar.

Sheikha Moza’s pantsuit blends power with femininity

Over the weekend, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser stepped out to attend the 2024 Qatar Foundation Annual Alumni Forum, where she met with the latest batch of graduates and took part in a thought-provoking group discussion. For the event, the royal painted a sharp figure, dressed in a checkered gray and black blazer + trouser set which was worn over a demure navy blouse.

Giving the work-ready ensemble her signature touch, Sheikha Moza layered the pantsuit with a beautiful abaya in a rich shade of peacock blue, along with a matching headscarf. She tied the look together by cinching her blazer in at the waist with an intricately carved gold belt for added structure, and completed her ensemble with black accessories. Her picks: pointy toed ankle boots and a classic clutch. A mix of diamond and pearl bracelets added the final touch.

With her latest outfit, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser gives fashion enthusiasts a masterclass in giving masculine shapes a softer, more elegant touch. The next time you’re in the mood to wear a pantsuit, take cues from the royal and bring in feminine details with your favorite statement belt, or layer up with an abaya in a contrasting hue to create a brand new aesthetic.
