Sheikha Aisha Al-Thani took to the Cannes 2017 red carpet in a sequence of bold evening dresses that struck the fashion zeitgeist. The Sheikha attended the amfAR gala, the Fashion For Relief event hosted by Naomi Campbell, and the Rihanna and Chopard evening soiree. From an acid green coat dress by Ralph & Russo and Chopard jewelry to a metallic evening dress deftly styled with a breezy white cloak by La Mania, Sheikha Al-Thani’s French Riviera wardrobe retained the conservative dress code of our region while upping the ante. Sheikha Al-Thani mostly wore Arab brands, from Elie Saab to Zuhair Murad, showcasing her commitment towards the promotion of fashion from the region.

With her hair in an edgy side braid and volume on the crown, the Sheikha punctuated each outfit with a directional diamond ear cuff by Yeprem.

Evangelo Bousis and Peter Dundas were seated front row with Her Highness at the Fashion For Relief runway show. Bella Hadid, Lebanese It girl Lana El Sahely, and the original super, Naomi Campbell, took to the catwalk to raise awareness of and funds for Syrian children.

As the official ambassador and spokesperson of the Place Vendôme Qatar, the Sheikha’s presence on the red carpet stood for much more than a royal in attendance at the festival’s 70th anniversary. Sheikha Al-Thani cut the silhouette of a modern Middle Eastern royal who seamlessly combines style and substance in four on-point looks.
