It’s been two years since she last appeared in the high-profile runway show, but Shanina Shaik is set to make a jubilant return to the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. The part-Saudi model revealed she will be walking in this year’s show, which will be taped in November, on Instagram, telling her 1.3 million followers the “outrageous news”. “I’m overjoyed and so beyond grateful,” the 27-year-old wrote. The Australian-raised star also revealed the news was broken to her by her agent, Lisa Marie Benson, and fellow model Jasmine Tookes, while she was on a photo shoot.

“[It was] a challenge for me because I couldn’t cry… I was in makeup for four hours,” Shaik added, revealing she was excited to make this year’s show “unforgettable”. The model has previously walked for the lingerie giant in 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2015. This will mark Shaik’s first appearance on the VS runway since marrying Gregory Andrews (aka DJ Ruckus) in May .“I’m very happy, excited, and so in love. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life as a wife,” she told Vogue Arabia shortly after tying the knot.

Also walking in this year’s show are models including Winnie Harlow, Barbara Palvin, and Cindy Bruna, with half-Palestinian catwalk star Bella Hadid also confirmed for the schedule. Making her debut on the runway for 2018 will be newcomer Kelsey Merritt, who will become the first Filipino to walk in the Victoria’s Secret show when she steps foot on the catwalk. “What an honor it is,” the model posted on Instagram after the news was revealed. “Thank you for believing in me and being there for me throughout this journey.”
