It has been nearly two years since Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint of US $14 million worth of jewelry while in Paris – and now another large-scale heist has reportedly taken place in the city. A Saudi Arabian princess has reported the theft of US $930,000 of jewels from her suite at the Ritz hotel in Paris, according to local police.

The royal, who has not been named, said the jewels were taken last Friday, with no signs the room had been broken into, Reuters reports. The princess told prosecutors the gems had not been locked in the room’s safe, though a spokesperson for the Ritz has so far declined to comment.

If the robbery is confirmed, it would be the second heist from the Place Vendôme hotel this year, after armed thieves stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from display cases in January. Three suspects were arrested at the scene, and all the jewels snatched were eventually recovered.

Kardashian West’s horrifying hold-up in 2016 took place at a luxury apartment just 10 minutes from the Ritz, with local police subsequently stepping up their presence in the area, Reuters reports. The star has since opened up about the terrifying experience, revealing she has overhauled her lifestyle in the aftermath. “I never say my whereabouts. And if I do, I make sure there is tons of security outside,” the reality TV star wrote in a post for Wealthsimple earlier this year. “I will do something, save it, and then post it when I leave.”

Kardashian West and husband Kanye West revealed they have also employed a team of security “on every edge” of their property. “I think I really attribute that experience that I had in Paris to helping me shut down and completely not worry about the digital world and live in the moment and at home and with my kids and my family and my husband.”
