Chic, elegant, and glam are just a few words to describe the designs of Sabina Bilenko, the latest addition to the world of couture. The story of Sabina Bilenko starts with twin sisters who joined forces in the name of luxury fashion and societal compassion. Born in Uzbekistan and living in Britain, twins Sabina and Diana Bilenko founded their couture house with a union of artistry, entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to give back to society. “I believe it takes both strength and kindness to be elegant,” says founder Sabina. “Fashion is about personality and confidence, not brands and trends,” adds Diana, the creative director.

Their mother, a fashion collector herself, groomed the twins into the fascinating world of design from a young age. The dynamic duo’s professional journey started with a baby couture label in 2017, followed by Grace Floral London in 2020, and has most recently blossomed into Sabina Bilenko Couture. Starting at a kitchen table during a global pandemic and after months of hard work, the sisters perfected their vision of the Sabina Bilenko woman – one of independence, intelligence, elegance, and glamour. “She knows what she wants,” the Bilenkos explain. “She has firm values; she is passionate and wants to give back to society.”

Grounded in family and fashion, Sabina Bilenko shares deep cultural ties with the Bilenkos’ Uzbekistani background. Uzbekistan’s rich history of craftsmanship, particularly in jewelry and ornamental and gold embroidery, invokes a legacy of expertise and skill that is unique to the Bilenko brand. While rooted in culture, their designs are made for a modern lifestyle, guaranteeing utmost global appeal. “We are so proud of everything we have achieved,” Sabina says. “Diana and I started out only with the help of our own knowledge, connections, and hard work, but this journey has given us an opportunity to meet wonderful people who are now helping us build this beautiful story.” Alongside the twins, Sabina Bilenko’s vision now comes to life by a rare team of experienced dressmakers recruited from the most legendary couture houses.

The sisters’ idea to work together was born of a common desire to give back to society. To this end, they are committed to Centrepoint, a UK charity that aims to end youth homelessness, and whose patron is Prince William. They hope to continue investing in their community by offering internships and employment at their atelier in Belgravia. The stylish sisters are continuously inspired by powerful women who use their creativity and status to make a positive difference in the world, mentioning Angelina Jolie and Amanda Gorman as a few of their idols. When it comes to fueling their imagination, they are inspired by icons of fashion such as Diana Vreeland, Lee Radziwill, and Gloria Guinness. These twins have taken couture on a spin and are not planning on slowing down any time soon. “We have big plans for a big future!” they explain.“We are working on the official launch of the brand in London, which will take place in November, after which we hope to walk the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards.”

Founder Sabina Bilenko also hints at an upcoming capsule couture collection. “It will be elegant yet casual, a style I have always admired,” she shares. The Bilenkos are planning to become a recognized player in haute couture by showing two collections in Paris during couture fashion week, from January 2022. They also plan on being guest members of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture as well as members of the British Fashion Council. As the Bilenko sisters flourish into the universe of luxury fashion, they always put their special bond as twins at the heart of it all, championing the phrase “born together, best friends forever.”
