Rewind to 1937, when Roger Vivier founded his namesake brand, opening the debut boutique at 22 rue Royale in Paris. Major fashion maisons collaborated with the shoe design maestro, including Balmain and Nina Ricci. From the 1953 footwear collaboration with Christian Dior to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II commissioning Vivier to create the shoes for her royal coronation, the house of Vivier has been upping the style ante for decades. Fast-forward to today, the storied brand has unveiled it OttoWoman collection, available in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, The Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi, and Bloomingdale’s in Kuwait. And it’s pitch-perfect for global citizens who like accessories with a dose of cultured whimsy.

The new-season offering gained the Vogue Arabia fashion desk’s full attention for its boldness and for effortlessly capturing Vivier’s experimental approach in a so-2017 spirit. Inspired by 19th century Ottoman works, expect embroidered florals, metallic accents, and fur-trimmed detailing that give a nod to traditional Afghan coats.

Team the Pilgrim shoulder bag with classic abayas or jeans and a kaftan to transition your wardrobe from high summer to fall without layering up. After all, the season may have moved on but the mercury is still rising here.

The Roger Vivier OttoWoman collection is available now from Level Shoes District in the Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, The Galleria Mall in Abu Dhabi, and Bloomingdale’s in Kuwait.
