Roger Vivier’s Middle East Leap

Roger Vivier

Dubai-based It Girl Karen Wazen in the new Roger Vivier x short film.

“Dubai has been, since the beginning, a lucky charm for Roger Vivier,” says brand ambassador and world favorite Parisian Inès de la Fressange. Flicking her short, tousled hair to one side, she flashes her megawatt, insouciant smile. “Today, this new shop is a symbol of our link with Dubai and I will be glad to come with Bruno Frisoni to celebrate it in January.”

In a few weeks, the Parisian luxury accessories maison will open the doors to its glossy white marble boutique located in the extension of The Dubai Mall. Nestled inside its vintage and eclectic decor of pale pink and delicate blush will be Roger Vivier classics, like the iconic buckle shoes launched in 1965 and its Sneaky Viv, a slip-on sneaker for laidback luxe, along with the day-to-night Rabat slippers and the Viv’ Cabas top-handle tote handbags. It will also feature a new line of shoes with a crystal-embellished RV logo flashing from closed-back heels like a luminous tattoo. A “silver room” with hand-painted silver leaf walls from the Paris boutique is replicated and can be closed off for private, VIP appointments.

Roger Vivier creative director Frisoni says, “I’m so excited to come back to Dubai with Inès, five years after we opened our first store in Level Shoes. I was totally amazed and blown away by the experience in The Dubai Mall. Opening the store in the extension is a new step for Roger Vivier in that it confirms the success of the brand in the region.” The fifth boutique in the Middle East adds to the family of Roger Vivier stores, including ones in Bloomingdale’s Kuwait, Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, Level Shoes in The Dubai Mall, and The Galleria in Abu Dhabi.

Roger Vivier is upping the ante with its focus on the Middle East. If you can’t wait for the store to open, shop Roger Vivier now on and enjoy the video featuring Dubai-based It Girl Karen Wazen “Parlez-vous Roger Vivier?” previewed first on
