Is Rihanna Releasing a Collection of Furniture in the Near Future?

Is there anything Rihanna can’t do? She’s a multi-award winning pop star, makeup mogul, actress, designer, philanthropist, and now, she hopes to add furniture designer to her impressive résumé. The 30-year-old multi-hyphenate revealed her plans for a furniture line on Thursday night at the fourth annual Diamond Ball, according to WWD.

Fashion’s certified bad gal arrived at the gala benefitting the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF)— an American non-profit organization founded in 2012 by the singer to benefit impoverished communities across the globe— at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street. The singer shone bright like a diamond in a jaw-dropping Alexis Mabille jumpsuit in Lyon and Chantilly lace that was fitted with a sweeping satin skirt that cumulated into an oversized bow. “Hmm. Should I tell you?” said RiRi when she was questioned about her dream project. “Furniture,” she revealed. “But I need time for that. I need time to drop something.”

Launching a collection of Fenty furniture seems like a natural next step for the singer-slash-entrepreneur, who clearly has her sights set on global dominance. With cosmetics, clothing, lingerie, and accessories up her sleeve, homeware remains a relatively untapped market for RiRi. If she does release a collection of furniture, she will join the likes of Pharrell, Kanye West, and Tyler, the Creator, as musicians who have all embarked on similar ventures.

Indeed, there seems to be no stopping Rihanna, who a day later stepped out at Sephora in Brooklyn wearing a head-to-toe fuchsia Calvin Klein by Appointment design by Raf Simons to celebrate the occasion of Fenty Beauty‘s first birthday. The gown featured a long train, ruffles, and a high slit that served to show off her matching, custom-dyed pumps from Olgana Paris.

The anniversary celebration came just days after the singer closed New York Fashion Week with her Savage x Fenty Spring 2019 show during New York Fashion Week, which comprised an all-star cast, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Paloma Elsesser, and Slick Woods (who reportedly went into labor during the show).
