Just in time for New York Fashion Week, Riccardo Tisci has teamed up with Nike once again to put his personal touch on a new sneaker called Nike Dunk Lux Chukka x RT. The designer, who recently stepped down as the creative director of Givenchy after a 12-year tenure, revamped the iconic mid-top silhouette with a nod to ‘80s basketball and skate culture. Scheduled to land in NikeLab stores in New York City on February 10, followed by a global release on February 23, the leather sneaker comes in contrasting colors of black, white, and red, featuring a large swoosh.
Tisci joined forces with the activewear company in 2014 by designing a high-end take on the Air Force 1, followed by a number of collaborations including the NikeLab Dunk Lux High x RT and the Air Zoom Legend x RT.
Tisci turned to Bella Hadid to front the campaign. The American-Palestinian model was recently spotted in New York City wearing the black and white version of the oversized proportion sneakers. Completing her athletic-minded look, she paired them with black cropped sweatpants with an unzipped bomber jacket that revealed a midriff-baring top. She grounded her outfit with a black Givenchy bowler bag and of-the-moment orange-tinted sunglasses.
