Riccardo Tisci has parted ways with Givenchy , ending a fruitful 12-year tenure as creative director at the storied Parisian brand. The quiet exit comes as a mutual agreement between Tisci and the LVMH-owned label. He took his final bow during the Fall 2017 menswear show in Paris, which included a lineup of 13 Haute Couture dresses. However, due to his departure, which was effective as of Jan 31, he will not stage a show during the forthcoming Paris Fashion Week and the Fall 2017 ready-to-wear collection will be designed in-house by the studio team.
Known for encapsulating edge and strength through classic and feminine silhouettes, the Central Saint Martins graduate is a red carpet favorite for his desirable designs. His high-profile clientele list includes the likes of Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna, and Meryl Streep. While his successor is yet to be named, speculations reveal that Tisci will take over the reins at Versace.
