Refined, pared down yet elegant with a touch of the industrial, Repossi’s design signatures are begging to be stacked; thin slices of pink gold enhanced with tiny floating diamonds, smooth geometric bracelets and twirled ear cuffs – fine jewelry that artistic, intellectual and effortlessly stylish women crave.
Driving Repossi’s desirability is creative and artistic director Gaia Repossi, whose great-grandfather founded the eponymous house in 1920. Designer collaborations – with Alexander Wang in 2010 and Joseph Altuzarra in 2011, to name just a couple – echo her enthusiasm for cool modernism and yet, many of the creations are still made in the same ateliers Repossi has collaborated with since its inception.
For their latest initiative, the brand has created an exclusive ring – the Berbere Chromatic in pink gold and nude lacquer – with the engraved inscription ‘CARE’; a reference to the non-profit organization who will benefit from its sale by receiving all proceeds.
“CARE does excellent work to support disfavored women who have been terribly affected during this pandemic,” says Repossi CEO Benjamin Comar. “It is an honor to support them with this magnificent, exclusive ring designed by Gaia Repossi.”
In response to Covid-19, CARE has supported the most vulnerable communities by distributing food and hygiene kits to women and children. The humanitarian organization, which was founded in 1945, supports gender equality, equal rights and opportunities – something echoed by Repossi who endorses and continues to be inspired by strong, independent women. Last year, CARE worked in 100 countries and reached close to 70 million people around the world.
“I am very pleased to support important causes during such difficult times,” says Gaia Repossi. “Helping people in need and supporting parts of the world whose struggles have been gravely compounded by this pandemic is vital and close to my heart.”
Repossi Berbere Chromatic ring AED8,858 (EU2,200). Exclusively on sale until June 7, 2020. Profits will be donated to CARE USA
