“This capsule is inspired by the ocean; its waves which depict the dance and rhythm of our daily lives,” says Reema Al Banna from her atelier in Sharjah. The 2016 Fashion Prize winner translated this vision into her signature hand-drawn prints, some radiant, others tonal, on deconstructed silhouettes—with Vogue‘s pick being the above ruffle and button down dress. Shot in a derelict home in San Francisco, the unique Reemami girl is celebrated with women showcasing individual, sometimes grungy, style to set a down-to-earth mood, while the spotlight creates a mysterious mood in the austere, indoor spaces, and unkept gardens.
The label, launched in 2009, has become a go-to brand in the region for flattering, standout pieces.
