Reebok X Victoria Beckham is Actually Happening

While we’ve all been lining our beauty repertoire with the Victoria Beckham for Estée Lauder collections (Morning Aura Illuminating Creme is the only pre-breakfast treat you need), the British designer and international working-mom icon has signed another collaboration to whet your consumer appetite.

Twelve hours ago, Beckham revealed via Instagram that she is partnering with sportwear brand Reebok. The collection is to nestle underneath the Innovation Collective, a next-gen initiative that leans towards performance-wear key pieces. Under this project, Reebok has also teamed up with the likes of Vetements and Cottweiler, so Beckham is in cool company. “As a brand, we look to partner with not just influential women, but women who want to truly change the world,” added Corinna Werkle, senior VP of women’s initiatives at Reebok. “There’s no better embodiment of this than Victoria. She is a true visionary who possesses a relentless desire to help women become the best version of themselves… We cannot wait for the world to see what she will do with our collaboration.”

There are no teasers of the actual collection or design direction as yet but one can certainly take style cues from the designer’s personal wardrobe evolution for what to expect. As with her runway collections. “I have long incorporated sportswear into my wardrobe and daily life and I am thrilled to be coming together with Reebok on such a dynamic proposition,” Beckham reflects in a statement. Beckham’s style has shifted from form-fitting dresses and bombshell must-haves to relaxed, tailored pieces and subtle, feminine fabrics. Lately, her street style file has seen low gravity footwear in the form of classic white sneakers teamed with premium off-duty separates.

“I am incredibly excited to embark on this partnership built on shared values,” Beckham shared in a statement. “I have always championed instilling confidence in women and Reebok is a brand that has been at the forefront of this same message for decades. To have the opportunity to challenge the traditional notions of fitness wear within a fashion context is something I have always wanted to do.”

The Reebok X Victoria Beckham collection will be available from late 2018.
