If you’re an avid Vogue Arabia reader, you’ll recognize the name of this Paris-based designer immediately—it was El Tayeb’s vibrant pieces that model Adriana Lima wore on the covers of our January 2022 issue. “I grew up with a number of cultural layers,” the designer revealed to us in a special interview earlier this year, while speaking about the inspiration behind his pieces, which rely heavily on Sudanese basketry and basket motifs. “These layers are clear in my designs.” To learn more about the man who won Qatar’s Fashion Trust Arabia debut talent award this year, click here. And for your next evening out, take cues from Rawdah Mohamed on how to layer in style.
